The Brief:

Create a theme-piece to launch and hold the over-arching concept for SuperSport’s rugby season promos.

The Solution:

To encapsulate all that is rugby in 2025, whilst pushing a strong brand element, was a daunting challenge. We decided that the best way to insert SuperSport’s brand into an epic rugby promo was to feature their formidable talent from behind and in front of the camera. We specifically wanted to elicit emotion from them, for more resonance with the viewer, who would appreciate that it is people bringing them the rugby they so love, inspired by their own, shared love of the game. Client asked us to extend this sentiment to the fans, so we created three non-SuperSport talent characters, and showed the impact SuperSport’s rugby content has on them, which added a familiar and inclusive element to the narrative.
