Europe is known for its sophistication, class and eloquence. The USA is known for in your face brashness, ego and aggression. This concept was motivated by using a beautifully known classic music piece that defines the eloquence and class of the Ryder Cup… Johann Strauss’s Blue Danube Waltz. The twist was that we composed a Jimi Hendricks rock inspired version that mirrors the classic music piece, but with a harder edge. Using these two powerful acoustic elements, original classic piece vs composed rock piece motivated the mood and tone to intercut poetic slow-motion European footage to the pace of the original classic music piece vs hard edged USA footage to the composed rock music piece that visually tells the story of class vs aggression. Of which is the true definition of the Ryder Cup saga.
