The client wanted a generic campaign name that could become a series of adverts rolled out in the next few years. ‘Small Signs You Need New Tyres’ seemed like a good fit, especially in this case, as the first two ads had to push towards their ‘Big Brand Roll-Out’ payoff. It’s a retail commercial, so you don’t want to get too clever with it, but you do want to engage the audience and make sure they’re still engaged by the time you make the sell. We opted for the animated approach dropping in bits of typography from the copy that we wanted to stand out. The challenge with wheel and tyre marketing is to make it fresh and entertaining, and most importantly, relevant to people’s lives- and we think we achieved this
